With 25 years of dance training, coaching, and choreographic experience combined with certified fitness training, Erynn provides her company with progressive education formats practiced within a positive and supportive environment. AOK! Fitness staff members will provide their fitness expertise to help keep our dancers strong physically and mentally.
Company members will receive a balanced format of dance education and fitness training to cover all basics while evolving technique, artistry, and overall strength and endurance. Providing our dancers with the necessary classes to excel forward safely while also encouraging a dance-life balance will keep our dancers evolving for years to come.
EDC Elite will compete at 4 regional competitions and 1 national competition. Dancers will have at least one local competition and one convention/competition. Dancers will also attend one mandatory fall convention. EDC will have a January company preview showcase and a spring recital. For more details, check out our company info packet.
STRETCH TECH IS A CLASS DESIGNED SOLELY TO WORK ON STRENGTHENING THE BASICS OF OUR JAZZ FOUNDATION AND FLEXIBILITY/STRENGTH. THIS CLASS ALSO USES PROVIDED EQUIPMENT TO EXCEL OUR STUDENTS TRAINING AND THE ABILITY TO KEEP CHALLENGING THEMSELVES.
THIS CLASS FOCUSES ON ADVANCING JUMPS, LEAPS AND TURNS BY TAKING PROGRESSIONS ACROSS THE FLOOR AND IN CENTER TO INCREASE ACCURACY AND CONSISTENCY.
BALLET CLASSES WILL HELP DANCERS WITH POSTURE, FLEXIBILITY, FITNESS, BALANCE, SELF-DISCIPLINE, AND SELF-CONFIDENCE. STUDENTS ARE TAUGHT PROPER BODY PLACEMENT, BODY ALIGNMENT, BARRE AND CENTER FLOOR WORK, ALONG WITH ACROSS THE FLOOR COMBINATIONS.
COMBO CLASS WILL ALLOW OUR STUDENTS TO LEARN COMBINATIONS IN DIFFERENT STYLES EVERY WEEK. THIS AIDS OUR DANCERS IN CHOREOGRAPHIC PICK-UP SKILLS AND PERFORMANCE QUALITY. THIS CLASS WILL BE TAUGHT BY FACULTY, AS WELL AS GUEST FACULTY.
OUR STUDENTS (AGES 13+) WILL TAKE PILATES REFORMER CLASSES TWICE A MONTH. ALL COMPANY MEMBERS (AGES 9+) ALSO RECEIVE DIFFERENT FITNESS FORMATS FOR CONDITIONING TRAINING ALL YEAR ROUND. THIS WILL HELP TO KEEP OUR STUDENTS CONSISTENTLY STRONG.
TAP TECHNIQUE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL COMPANY DANCERS. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. TAP IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR RHYTHM AND MUSICALITY TRAINING AND IS CRUCIAL TO MAKE FOR A WELL-ROUNDED DANCER.
